Why we started CURA
I've been in the nonprofit world with WWF for fourteen years. Before that, I was starting technology companies in Switzerland and in the US. What got me building CURA were the funding cuts. There are agencies with so much work delivering impact to people around the world, and they haven't been able to do that work. It's gone undone. And when AI agents came along, it just made so much sense that we could use that technology.
That is the question CURA is built around:

Sam is an American who has called Switzerland home for many years. He began his career at The Walt Disney Studios, then built and led technology ventures including Retail Technology Partners, Pyxis International and ScribeStorm.
Fourteen years ago he joined WWF International, later leading Global Business Systems and Digital Business Solutions across nearly 100 countries. At WWF he led the rollout of Tableau analytics so conservation teams could track their own data without waiting on a central office — a project that showed technology is rarely the hardest part; trust is.
That thinking shaped CURA: a governed workforce platform where AI agents support real work while people stay firmly in control.
